The biggest advantage is that when they are fully in a dialogue process and believed in it, the tendency for the objectives of that dialogue to me met increases. They have the strong willed, energy and exuberance to fully push the dialogue process toward its objectives when they join a dialogue process. some of the challenges that could come up when they are engaged could be their strong will not to easily suspend their belief so as to create a space for understanding the needs of the other side.
The advantage of youths in a dialogue will be there open mindedness. It may be easier to get youths to open up, understand and appreciate the perspectives of others involved in the dialogue. But youths in dialogue may be a problem when the lack experience and the maturity to deal with issues in the dialogue.
The advantage is when they trust the process, they will give their best and their commitment to it. But the challenge is most youths are green and therefore this could affect their tolerance in the dialogue process as well as suspending their beliefs
The challenge is for their views to be accommodated by others especially when they contradict the popular or majority opinion, another challenge might be when they feel they are not treated the same way others are treated. The advantage is they get to voice their concerns the want they want the concerns to be understood.
Young people have a way of connecting formally or informally in a fascinating way. The energy the possess is huge and gives abundant room for lasting friendships across lines of interest. This is a major strength for young people in a dialogue process.
Young people are more likely to take for granted a dialogue process that does not allow them to vent or express themselves exhaustively.
In a dialogue process, Young people would most likely encounter some challenges related with their views being relegated or trivialized as inferior especially in conservative society and dialogue settings where they are co-participants with elderly persons. However, the fact that they thrives on hopes and aspirations is an advantage that places them in a position to be forward-looking in their approaches to live issues.
